Results for the year
Looking back on Arcon’s achievements, over the last financial year, we are generally very happy with our results.
To begin with, we relet 109 properties, seeing turnover reduce from 12% to 9.6%. It took us an average of 16.8 days to relet our empty homes which was down on last year’s figure of 17.4 days. We also let 13 brand new homes, developed by Arcon.
Our rent arrears fell from 2.75% last year to 2.71% and we only carried out one eviction, for arrears, compared to four the previous year.
The Arcon Community Fund, which was launched in Summer 2015, used its budget of £25,000 to fund 25 different community projects, across Greater Manchester. We also provided free computer training for eight customers, helping them to improve their IT skills.
Our only disappointment was that formal complaints, from customers, were up from six to eight, with one having to be resolved by a Panel of our Board Members. On the plus side, we received five very welcome compliments.
