Finance officer – Rent and Service charges

Job Description

General purpose of role

 

To administer the rent ledgers across the organisation, ensuring the accuracy of rent account balances.

 

Specific Duties

  1. Administer the rent ledgers across the organisation, including processing all charges and receipts.
  2. Process rent increases/decreases, liaising with external agencies as required.
  3. Complete bank reconciliations for all rent bank accounts.
  4. Administer the sales ledgers across the organization.
  5. Banking of all cash and cheque payments received.
  6. Posting of relevant banking journals.
  7. Provide cover for other members of the team as required.
  8. Complete any other duties commensurate with the role as required.

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications, experience and knowledge

 

  • Experience of working in the housing sector (desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of reconciliation work
  • Whilst not essential, experience of service charges would be desirable.
  • A good knowledge of sound financial practice, procedures and systems.
  • Experience of computerised accounting and information systems.
  • Strong Excel skills
