Abbey Hey Family Fun Day!

Abbey Hey will be holding another family friendly event on Sunday 24th June at the Hare and Hound pub on Abbey Hey Lane to help raise much needed funds for local causes, Active Me and Murray Machines Gym.

This year’s fun day looks set to be even bigger than last year’s huge success which saw an incredible £1,570 raised by the community to support the ‘We Love Manchester’ campaign. Arcon Housing Association are very pleased to be continuing on from last year and sponsoring this community event.

Abbey Hey Day is an event to help unify the local community and highlight the voluntary groups that operate within the area and further the sense of community by bringing people to together to celebrate, have family fun and enjoy a day of endless activities. Some of the activities for this year’s Abbey Hay Day are bouncy castles, hot food, face painting, raffles, an auction and even the chance to explore local community group staffs and learn more about what is going on in your area. What’s new for this year is that the event which runs from 12noon until 7pm will now also feature an adult’s only evening Karaoke event from 7-11pm.  There will be something for everybody will all guaranteed to have a great time.

Active Me studios who will be one of the recipients of the money raised provide training in dance and acting for local young children and adults. Murray Machines Gym are seeking funds to help equip a junior gym and so are important causes to the local area.
